
Print screen was a feature of OpenERP which enables the user to take the printout of the tree view of the selected records. This feature was available in OpenERP 6.1 GTK client was not available in OpenERP 6.1 web client and OpenERP 7. In OpenERP 7, there is an option to take printout of the tree view. But in OpenERP 7 we cannot select the particular records which we want to print in the report.

This in an interesting module in OpenERP which I found useful recently for importing different csv file templates to a single object(model) in OpenERP. For example when we create a crone job (scheduler) to import csv files from different suppliers with their invoices which has different structure to the Customer Invoices in OpenERP. Below is a generic explanation of the existing module.
iReport is an reporting tool used for designing jasper report in OpenERP. In OpenERP it is difficult to create a report that has a dynamic column. For instance consider an example of a project report that has details regarding the project task completion date. The task name will be the name of the column. In such cases, the cross tab in report comes handy.
Jasper report is an reporting tool used in OpenERP for printing the reports in formats like pdf, Excel, HTML etc. Lets consider an example about the accounting reports. The report contain details regarding the credit amount, debit amount balance etc. It would be very useful if the report is printed in excel format. In excel sheet we will be able to specify the formula based on which each cell value is calculated. So if we are generating the excel sheet from jasper report we should be able to specify the formule in jasper report which should be used in the excel sheet.

You can download the iReport 4.5.1 from here . There is no need to download jasper_report4.5.1.jar file. You can find it inside iReport4.5.1 itself.
If you are using OpenERP jasper_reports module, to update jasperreports-4.5.1.jar and other lib files to latest for iReport_4.5.1,
This will update all the libraries in jasper_reports module to the latest.

I met my success in porting the Drupal 6 module, OpenERP Proxy API to Drupal 7 (D7). Now it is working with OpenERP 5 and OpenERP 6. I faced many complications to make the data communication between Drupal and OpenERP. Even though we can have specific methods to tranfer projects, leads anything like these from OpenERP or from Drupal and make both to communicate each other, I wished if I had a specific API module in Drupal 6 my task will be easier. Later, I found this module will do the nice. Thanks to BoogieBug who developped the Drupal6 version

For your first query, ie; the overlapping of subreports , first select the subreport from main report go to properties, there you can see a field "Position Type". Set it to "Float" so that the subreport will not overlap.
For Your second query, if the data in a crosstab is null it will be shown as null in the report. Please check weather you are retriving the data correctly. For example:
In the above report the the column group is the partner name and the measure is the phone. if there is no phone number for a partner, it will be shown as null.
Please check you are retriving the data correctly.
