Odoo 18 Payroll Management
Introduction
The Odoo payroll manages and processes employee salaries, deductions, and benefits. It integrates with apps like Employees, Time Off, and Attendances. Payroll also handles contracts, working hours, and country-specific salary rules.
Odoo 18 Payroll Management is a comprehensive and user-friendly module designed to streamline and automate payroll processes within an organization. With features like automated deductions, multi-currency support, and real-time reporting, Odoo 18 simplifies payroll administration and reduces manual errors, enabling organizations to focus on strategic initiatives. Additionally, its seamless integration with other Odoo modules like Accounting and HR enhances overall efficiency and data consistency.
Payroll Dashboard
The fig 1 shows payroll dashboard.It consists of Warnings,Batches,Employer Cost,Employee Trends.
Warnings - It shows the issues that prevent payslip from being generated.
Batches - It shows the different batches with its status.
Employer Cost - It shows how much the company spends on payroll in a month or a year.
Employee Trends - It shows the new hires by month or year.

Contract
Contract efficiently manages employee contracts, including roles, compensation, and working hours, using a user-friendly form and clear submenus.We can create and view the contract of employees .Below shown is an example of a new contract form.

Fill out details such as Employee name,contract start and end date,working hours,salary structure type ,department,job position and contract type.
The salary info can be added in the salary information tab.The Contract Details tab enables contract addition, editing, and selecting template for new contract creation, with fields populated for each contract.
Salary Attachment
Then coming to salary attachments, the process of deducting a portion of an employee's salary ,for example if the employee takes an advance amount and a portion of that will be deducted from monthly salary.

Work Entries
Work Entries are used to track the hours worked by employees, which are essential for calculating their pay.Work entries are automatically generated in the Payroll app based on employee salary structure.

Time off to Report
It shows the employees time-off details, including Start Date, Duration, Payslip State, Time Off Type.
We can create new time off by clicking new.

Payslips
Payslips to pay
tracking payment status by managing pending employee payslips that require payment.Below is the list view of payslips to pay.

Batches
A batch helps in processing large groups of employees, for efficient and accurate processing of multiple payslips, thereby reducing time and effort.

Create a new batch by clicking new and adding name ,period ,company.

The below payroll analysis shows the payslips generated in the last 365 days.We can add filters and groupby.

The default Work Entries Analysis report provides an overview of the validated work entries for the current month.
