We need to enable Discounts from Configuration>>Settings in Sales module.
We can see the discount button in the sale order after enabling the option.We need to create a sale order by adding necessary products in the sale order line.
All Order lines Discount
All order line discounts are applied to individual order lines. This allows you to offer different discount amounts for different products or services within the same order. Line discounts can be set up as a percentage. To apply line discounts, click on the discount button, then a wizard will popup, in that select the ‘on all order lines’ options and add the discount percentage.
Then by clicking the apply button we will get the discount that applied on lines.
Global Discount
Global discounts are applied to the entire order or invoice. This is useful when you want to offer the same discount across all items, such as a seasonal sale or volume discount.
To apply global discount,in the wizard that pop up by clicking on the discount button , select the global discount option and enter the discount percentage.
When clicking the apply button global discount we will get the global discount.
Fixed Amount Discount
Fixed amount discounts are a special type of global discount where you offer a flat discount off the total, regardless of the order amount. This is different from a percentage-based global discount.
This type of discount is often used in promotions, where the discount is a specific amount rather than a percentage.
In the wizard that pop up by clicking on the discount button, select the Fixed Amount option and add the amount to be reduced from the sale order total amount.
The discount will be reduced the sale order total amount.
